Description
Wheel off or through the rim spokes, slide the blade against the lining and read what is left, without removing the caliper: eight blades of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm, riveted together and colour-coded — red for 2 and 3 mm, yellow for 4 to 6 mm, green for 8 to 12 mm — each marked in millimetres and inches. Disc and drum brakes alike. Rigid plastic blades, thin enough to pass between disc and caliper, light enough to live in the glovebox.
